New bumper ready to go!!!

Bumper completed and fresh from paint. Ready for install.

Cutting Deep!!!

Almost 10 inches of the rear quarter panels were cut to get the bumper level with the bottom of the frame rails. Ouch!!!

exhaust relocated

The exhaust had to be relocated out the back of the MS since the bumper wrapped around to the frame and right where the exhaust used to be. The orginal exhaust hanger was cut off and reused in the new location.
The bumper will be mounted using the factory nuts and bolts from the tow hook and the tow eye. Angle iron was drilled and welded to the bumper to match these factory locations.

Bumper Bracket Removal

Orginal bumper brackets were removed to bring the new bumper closer to the body.

Side wing body protectors

This pic shows how much of the rear body and inner fender well were cut. The side wings will be good body armor. Compare your stock Sport with: That bottom tube that wraps around and back to the frame is in the middle of the frame. That's how much body was removed!!!

Newly Installed Bumper

Here it is! Ready for action. The bumper will hold a 33" spare tire and the Hi Lift Jack you see here. It also has a tab welded on it for a CB and everything is lockable that goes on the back. The license plate will mount at the bottom of the bracket for the Hi Lift and will also be lit at night.
